Thank you so much for visiting my website/ Merci bien pour d’avoir visiter vous ici.
This site gives a flavour of the silk screen print works which I make in “Studio Alastair”
Since October 2015 we have transformed a very tired, dusty old stone holiday house into our proper home. It has been very hard – what with learning a language and ascertaining how best to exist within a new country – but we have done what we could afford to do and a tiny new studio was eventually created within the best bit of a tumbly-down barn. The first new work – a nuthatch – was made in late June 2016. We are now ‘open’ again!
Thanks to all the people who came a long way to visit our OPEN STUDIO event last September and for supporting our stand at the Bourganeuf Christmas event in December. We were overwhelmed and humbled by the reaction of everyone. Thank you. We aim to do both these things again.
We are VERY grateful to Valerie Klein at La Montagne & Steve Martindale at The Bugle – two newspapers who have featured us so kindly.
Alastair is generally at work all day in “Studio/Atelier Alastair” and receives visitors! It is best to e-mail first to ascertain that he’ll be there or to make an appointment. Thank you.
THE WEBSITE WILL BE UPDATED REGULARLY.
The E-MAIL ADDRESS REMAINS :- AR_starlings1@hotmail.com
Louise & I are now re-established with our business. It will take time as we find our markets in our new area. We can sell cards here on this website. If you are interested in original pictures it is best to e-mail us to enquire.
Keep watching this website. It will be as up to date as we can make it – given the re-adjustment to a new life and lifestyle. Do not under-estimate the impact of this. France may sound idyllic as an idea; but a total life change and living in a foreign country is very different from occasional trips to a holiday house!
In the ISLE of WIGHT visit KU Gallery on Church Hill VENTNOR where Kimiko sells our cards and some reproductions of Isle of Wight works. Cards may still be found in NITON COUNTRY STORES with thanks to Paula who also has a picture or two.
On ALDERNEY visit ‘SELECTIONS’ in Victoria Street and talk to Angie.
#### CARDS are available online.
We hope you still enjoy browsing the rest of this site and if there’s anything you need to ask please do :- Alastair and Louise.
